Are Online Nikah Legal or Invalid?
According to Sunny School of Thought Online Nikah is valid. There are two different things need to clarify as under
1. Sharia Nikah
2. Registration of Marriage
Sharia Nikah
If some one looking to clarify about Islamic Nikah (Sharai) then as per Sunny School of Thought (Hanfia) then its valid. According to general rules atleast one bride or groom must present in ceremony. But as per Fatwa of Mufti Zameer and Mufti Hayat In case of where issue to present in ceremony and Nikah Khawan not available near by so its not against the Islam.
Online Nikah Registration
Online Nikah registration not recognized by MOFA. Although in case bride and groom both Pakistani and accept marriage documents then no issue.
Note: If some one going to marry for immigration purpose then Online Nikah is not better way. Many countries object on Online Nikah. So its better way to invite Fiancee and solemnize marriage in Pakistan.
Marriage for Immigration Registration Procedure
In case of Marriage for Immigration Registration procedure same as Court Marriage in Pakistan. Need Bride Passport and 6 Photo (Passport Size) in case of foreigner and CNIC in case of Pakistani.
CNIC or Passport.
